We recently had the pleasure of staying at Burnhow Garden Hotel, and it exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The hotel’s charming garden setting made for a tranquil and relaxing stay, but what really stood out was the exceptional breakfast experience. Rooms: Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, offering a lovely blend of comfort and charm. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the thoughtful amenities, including tea and coffee facilities, fresh towels, and toiletries, made our stay even more enjoyable. Service: The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist. From check-in to check-out, the service was impeccable. They were happy to offer local tips, which really enhanced our visit to Bowness on Windermere. Location: The hotel is ideally located just a short walk from the center of Bowness and the shores of Lake Windermere. Despite being so close to local attractions, it maintains a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Breakfast: The highlight of our stay was the incredible breakfast each morning! The selection was impressive, ranging from hearty full English options to lighter choices like fresh fruit and cereals. Every dish was prepared to perfection, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The cooked breakfast in particular was outstanding – eggs were done just right, the bacon and sausages were delicious, and everything was served piping hot. It was clear that a lot of care and attention went into every meal. We looked forward to breakfast every morning – it truly set the tone for the day! Overall, Burnhow Garden Hotel is a gem in the heart of the Lake District. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with excellent service and a standout breakfast, this is the place to stay. Myself and mum were looked after the moment we booked our 2 night stay, accommodating a room change to facilitate wheelchair access. On arrival we were pleasantly shown to our room, checking in before our expected time and being recommended a nice place to venture locally. The hotel is within a perfect area to enjoy your stay with lots to do within Bowness. This lovely quaint hotel is highly recommended from its beautiful surroundings within, its excellent breakfast, comfy beds. More importantly the team of Burnhow make this place a perfect stay. Very friendly, warming and ever so accommodating. Every staff member we met deserves a 5 star Especially Michael. Thank you again! Keep up your great work

although the property is very old and probably could do with a re-Ferb it had everything that we needed and more we stayed in one of the upgraded suits. we were so close to all the amenities, two minute walk from our room and we could see the lake. We had a super king bed bath and a shower and our own private garden. There is a secret garden which you look at from breakfast which was beautiful full of wildlife we will be returning I don’t have pictures in the room otherwise I would post them. I’ve just posted one of a birthday cake which catches a little bit of the room
